Finally!

Well, after 5 months of waiting and watching the housing prices go up 3000 a week, we finally got a lot! They actually called Ian while he was in Japan, but just let him know that whenever he got back to come in and pick a lot to build on. Somewhat nicer than the other builder, who when we won a lottery last month, called me and insisted I call Japan at 3:00am there to try to decide if we wanted the house or not. Seemed too difficult to be making those decisions half the world away, so we declined.

We thought we would only be offered the higher end house series they were building, but they let us pick whichever we wanted. Supposedly we were up on the higher end list, and probably another month out on the other list, but just don't tell anyone else waiting on the lists! We had to decide between a difference of about 400 sq feet and an extra garage and $40,000. We decided to save the money for a kick ass pool and actually be able to afford furniture etc and go with the smaller model.

So....here is the floorplan of our upcoming house!




It's 1901 sq feet, 3 bedroom and 2 bath with a 2 car garage. Hopefully I'll have a new car to drive into it too!
