The warning the construction foreman gave us about the drywall turned out to be true. Pretty much for at least 3 weeks, we went down to the house every weekend to just see the drywall sitting in the house. We weren't able to get the house inspected at the framing stage because they told us the drywall was going to start right away. Oh well.
Then it was off to Jamaica...(which was awesome!)
When we got back from our week on the beach, we discovered the outside of our house had been stucco'ed (ok, I am not sure how to spell that).
And, that all of the drywall had been completed!
After checking out the great room and kitchen, we wander off to the other rooms.
Ok, um...where did our skylight go? They covered it with insulation and drywall. Doh!
We went to the sales office to let them know about it, asap so the builders could fix it. Not really that big of a deal, since it is in the frame of the house, all they need to do is cut out the drywall, drywall up the sides of the skylight and paint. Course the sales guy, doesn't really take any note of the problem and doesn't seem concerned at all. Still says our house is on schedule though!
